Dear Parent:

I am writing this letter to welcome you and your child back to another school year.  I am happy to have the opportunity to teach science at Blackville Hilda High School. It is indeed a pleasure to help young minds grow. Your child will be given a class syllabus and a science lab safety contract. This contract will allow the student to participate in science labs. Please discuss this information with your child.  I have attached a list of the standards that will be covered in the course.  Please encourage your child to do his/her best to keep up with the class work. I believe consistency is the key.Your child will also be given a course syllabus.  It will address the requirements and the need list for the class. Please make sure that your child has the necessary materials for class. If you have any questions about anything pertaining to this course please call the school at 803-284-5700. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
