Cheer Try-Outs
Practices for cheerleading try-outs begin on May 18. Please email Mrs. Calhoun to have your name added to the list. Grades and discipline are checked for eligibility. The deadline to sign-up is Friday, May 13, no exceptions. Try-out material is sent via email, once the sign-up list is completed. Feel free to contact Mrs. Calhoun by email for questions.

Prom tickets are on sale during lunch. Junior tickets are $35 and senior tickets are $30.

Virtual School Summer Credit Recovery
Virtual School Summer credit recovery registration is open and will close on June 10. The first credit recovery date began on Monday, May 9.

Denmark Tech Classes
Applications for Denmark Tech summer classes are in. See Mrs. Whaley during lunch.

Salkehatchie Youth Leadership Program
Any high school sophomore or junior in good standing in school is eligible to attend the Salkehatchie Youth Leadership Program. Monthly sessions are held from late August 2022 to May 2023. If interested, see Mrs. Whaley before May 15.

Blackville Music & Arts Festival
The Blackville Music & Arts Festival is held on May 20-21. If interested in being a vendor, participating in the parade, and/or performing during the festival, please email Mrs. Whaley to obtain the necessary information.



BCCSD Information about upcoming year.
The 2022-2023 Return to In-Person Plan was presented to our Board of Trustees.  The plan is attached and ready for review.
We garnered feedback from the public when we disseminated our consolidation input survey in February, and we held a safety task force meeting with key district stakeholders last Tuesday to review prior to presenting to the Board.
We will continue to monitor and update the plan as needed.  Feel free to let us know if there are any comments, questions, and/or concerns regarding the plan.

Instructions on Enrolling Students During COVID-19 in the Blackville-Hilda Public School System

I need to ENROLL my child

Parents –

Due to the COVID 19 virus, BHPS enrollment and withdrawal process has changed during this time.

If you are new to the district and need to Enroll your child at Blackville-Hilda High School (grades 9-12), please send an email to or if your child needs to be enrolled at Macedonia Elementary/Middle School (grades preK-8) email  They will reply back with your “next step” within 24 hours.

Once enrolled you will be given instructions on picking up your child’s learning packets.
